Hello there, I am a Psychotherapist in private practice, working with adults and couples from my consulting rooms in Lilydale in the outer east of Melbourne, (moving to East Gippsland in mid 2026) as well as online via secure video sessions.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or disconnected. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, or a sense that something important is missing despite appearing to function well on the outside.
I believe that meaningful change is possible. Often, however, our ability to move forward is shaped by deeply held beliefs, past experiences, and patterns that developed long ago. Psychotherapy offers an opportunity to explore these experiences in a safe, supportive environment and discover new ways of relating to yourself, others, and the world around you.
I provide a confidential, non-judgemental, and compassionate space where you can bring whatever is troubling you. Together, we work to understand your experiences, make sense of emotional difficulties, and develop greater awareness, resilience, and choice in your life.
My approach is relational, psychodynamic, and somatically informed. This means that I pay attention not only to what you think and say, but also to how your experiences are held within your body. Contemporary research in attachment, neuroscience, and trauma has shown that lasting change often occurs through the experience of being deeply understood within a therapeutic relationship. Therapy can become a place where old patterns are recognised, new possibilities emerge, and healing can take place.
Drawing from Self Psychology, Intersubjective Theory, Attachment Theory, Existentialism, trauma-informed practice, and Contemporary Somatic Psychotherapy, I work with the whole person — mind, body, emotions, and relationships. My aim is to help you develop a stronger and more embodied sense of self, greater emotional wellbeing and resilience, and more fulfilling connections with others.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent some years working in the corporate arena, and then many years in the complementary health field as a Touch for Health practitioner, counsellor, coach, health product creator and manufacturer, educator, and facilitator. This background continues to inform my holistic understanding of health and wellbeing.
I am a Clinical Registrant and Accredited Supervisor with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and engage in ongoing professional development, regular supervision, and advanced training to ensure my work remains current and informed by contemporary research and practice.
I am a member of the Melbourne Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy Association and see couples and other relational groups.
