This privacy policy explains how Alison Ball and colleagues (“the practice”, “we”) handle the personal information you provide when you use the contact and enquiry forms on this website. We are committed to handling your information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our professional obligations of client confidentiality.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry through a form on this site, we collect only the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, optional phone number, who you would like to contact, your preferred contact method and time, and the content of your message.
We do not ask for clinical or health information through these forms, and you should not include sensitive health details in a website enquiry. The forms are an initial point of contact only, not a secure clinical record.
How your information is used
Form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where you have asked to reach a particular practitioner, to forward your message to an available colleague so they can contact you. Submissions are not used for marketing and are never sold or disclosed to third parties for their own purposes.
How submissions are handled and stored
Enquiry forms on this site are processed by our website host’s form service (Netlify), which transmits submissions over an encrypted connection and emails them to the relevant practitioner. Submissions may be retained by the form service and in the practitioner’s email for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up your enquiry, after which they are deleted. Any information that later forms part of a clinical relationship is handled under the separate confidentiality and record-keeping obligations of the treating practitioner’s professional association (PACFA / ASPA / AASW).
Confidentiality
All practitioners associated with this site work within a strict professional code of ethics that includes client confidentiality. Information you provide is treated as confidential and is shared only with the practitioner you are seeking to contact.
Access, correction and removal
You may ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, or if you have any concern about how your information has been handled, email us at enquiries@psychotherapistsinmelbourne.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies and analytics
This is a static website. It does not set tracking cookies and does not run third-party advertising. If website analytics are enabled in future, only aggregate, non-identifying usage data would be collected and this policy would be updated accordingly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version was last reviewed in 2026.
